We are so in love with our sweet girl!
Parker at six months your little personality continues to come out and you are the sweetest!
The last month has been tough on all of us! A persistent ear infection kept us on our toes and thinking you were teething... While you barely complained, you wanted snuggles, cuddles and to sleep with mommy (which mommy loved for awhile and then realized she needed more restful sleep).... The doctor has fixed you up with some great medicine and you received a lot of love, attention and bouncy seat time and you seem to be back to your old self (we will know for sure at your next ear check on Thursday) and we are all far more comfortable (and less crabby) with you in your crib.
In the last month you went from being wobbly and needing a boppy to sit up and play independently to sitting up totally on your own and you are now owning your world! Your power to sit up has quickly turned to schooching and we are certain crawling is not far behind. You find your way around any blanket we put you on and beyond without a problem.
You still love to give kisses and to receive them, your belly laughs are getting stronger and your smile will melt anyone's heart. You love hair (and pulling it), snuggling, sparkles (necklaces, earrings, rings, sequins on a shirt, etc...), you lick just about anything that you come in contact with and can't seem to get enough of Sophie, stacking cups or your ring set. You are also very into books. You are incredibly nosy and need to see what's going on at all times. You were fascinated by the Christmas lights and the tree, but loved the wrapping paper even more. Your babble ranges from ma, ma, ma, ma...to a little da, da, da, to screeches and giggles, its' adorable! My favorite part of the day with you still is when we are playing after school and Daddy comes home; the look on your face when you hear his voice come from the kitchen is the definition of pure joy and you are so content that your favorite peeps are all in one place.
In the last month Mommy and Daddy figured out how to control your cradle cap (more so daddy...the controlling part makes mommy gag a little) and have realized (yes, we were told before) that routine is key for you and for us, we are also learning to put you to bed more awake which has led us to a few crying it out sessions at night time (no more than 10 minutes), but we are managing (and learning not to jump every time there is a noise from the monitor) and you are doing great!

Firsts for the month include....
- First time sitting up on your own (HUGE!)
- First visit with Santa Clause (this was definitely enjoyed more by mommy)
- First Christmas (x3)
- First time having some "solid food" which we started a few days before you turned 6 months on the advice of the pediatrician
- Sadly...first time crying it out a bit
- First date with your little boyfriend Connor.... You guys are a week apart and like to hang out and compare what the other knows; it's pretty funny to commentate on over wine with Connor's mommy and our friend (running buddy) Lonna.
P you turned six months the day after Christmas and your world began to change and you are doing great. You are 95% bottle fed, you are still getting pumped breast milk 85% of the time and formula the other 15% (at the advice of the doc) and we do a little nursing time when you wake up in the middle of the night. The bottle feeding even in the two short weeks has relaxed mommy so much and has given you some more bonding time with daddy. You are sitting in a high chair and getting oatmeal 3 times a day...YOU LOVE IT! We started with a little apple puree too, but you hate that for now. In the morning you are 100% daddy's girl and you enjoy oatmeal, a bottle and Mike & Mike in the morning.
