And so it begins...

Our first baby gizmo arrived via UPS today.  We ordered ourselves a "mammaRoo" on Friday after finding a link to refurbished ones via a Craigslist ad.... The story behind the "Roo" was that we saw one over the holidays downtown Chicago while looking at all the Christmas decorations in the window of a Baby Boutique, not even being 12 weeks at the time we stared at it through the window and went in to find out more about it...  We thought it looked pretty cool and  figured we should do a little more homework on them.

We continued to talk about the "mammaRoo" in sort of a joking manner over the next few weeks and I found some good reviews and some bad reviews, but in compared to all other baby reviews for products nothing out of the ordinary...  So, when I saw the ad for a refurbished one, I was sold and ordered it.  However, we didn't realize we would need to put it together, I suppose this is the start of our new life as parents...putting stuff together.

In case you are curious, the "Roo" is suppose to be perfect for newborns and infants and move like you do...It plugs into the wall and has a spot to plug in your i-pod if you don't want the soothing noise of the rainforest for your baby, but would rather play a little Lady Gaga for them.

We will keep you posted come June/July how it works, but for now we are pretty thrilled with our first purchase!
