10 Months

P-diddy, sweet baby...We can't believe you are 10 months old already!  Daddy and I love you so much and you are growing like a weed!  Can you believe in 2 months you will be 1?  Lots of fun stuff has happened this last month and while I'm slow to post and download pictures, we don't want to forget all the great things you are doing, so here is a little rundown for the memory books!

  • You went to the DuPage Children's Museum for the first time with some big kids (Juliana 5 1/2 and Connor 2).  You loved it and were fascinated by everything and yet a tiny bit over stimulated...  We will go back soon, so you can continue exploring.
  • You transitioned to the big girl car seat.  You seem to like it in any car but Mama's but who could blame you...Crawling in the back with Mama isn't the most fun I've ever had either.  I have now resorted to bribing you with hugs and yogurt melts to get you into the seat, already breaking on the "I'll never bribe my kids" rule I had set for myself.
  • You also transitioned to a big girl stroller and are enjoying the new sights and sounds of our hood.
  • You wave non-stop...Grass, shadows, people, birds, cars...they all get a wave and a smile from you.  You say good morning to your house with a wave.  Sometimes your waving is a little delayed because you spend so much time observing a new person, that at times, they have passed you by already.  We think that is pretty adorable!
  • Parker you are so smart!  You know that a cow says moo, a sheep says baa and that a lion roars.  You are still growling and we have named your growl the baby gremlin.  It cracks all of us up, it's so darn cute and so funny!  You still do "so big," "patty cake" and we started "this little piggy," you love the "Wee, Wee, Wee all the way home" part the best.  You are also starting to enjoy your puzzles, you don't quite get the concept of putting the pieces back, but you are interested.  All in good time.
  • You have the gummy-est smile ever and are showing off your 2 bottom teeth, but no others have totally surfaced yet.  This has not stopped you from finger foods though.  You jump, up and down when we shake some yogurt melts, you love avocado and soft cheese too!  Ritz crackers are a must and we have been putting a little hummus on them as of late and you can't seem to get enough.  You eat lightly toasted waffles and your usual purees as well.  Mommy has some new recipes for finger foods she is going to try very soon...  Just need to find a little time.
  • You are so sneaky.  You love remote controls, iphones and ipads and will wait till our back is turned ever so slightly and will bolt for it and just laugh and laugh, as if you have won the prize.
  • School has changed for you, as you are now the oldest in your class and while you had a day or two of jealousy, you seem to have adapted and love the new babies and bring them little rattles and things to play with.  (at least this is what we are told...)
A few stats we want to remember about this time....
  • You have had one double ear infection since the tube insertion, you handled the procedure that went with this like a champ, much stronger than Mama.
  • You are still wearing 6-9 month clothes, everything is big (width wise) on you, as you are long and lean!
  • You are standing solo, crawl everywhere, do stairs like a champ, but not first steps yet without help.
  • You are sleeping much better at night time and even during the day to an extent.  Don't get me wrong P, we still have some late night cuddles, but you are becoming more and more of a sleeper, which is great for both of us!
I think this is going to cover me for the month.  I promise to sit still at home once you are in bed sweet girl to get some pictures posted...After all, I don't think your loyal followers are into my ramblings!

We love you Sweet P!
